1. Morning Assembly would be held in the classroom till next Friday
2. There is a special timetable during the Level Test week (Next Week)
- Level Test starts at 0845 (Monday) and 0745 (Tuesday- Friday)
- Each period is 40 mins instead of the usual 50 mins
- There will be special school bell to signal the 40 mins period

DELIVERABLES FOR WEEK 5: IDEA FOCUSING
The following tasks are to be updated in your team journals by the end of this week.
1) PRODUCT ANALYSIS
a) Select several existing designs based on your team’s selected outdoor furniture. You must select interesting designs that will give you inspirations and ideas to develop your own furniture.
b) Create a PMI table to do Product Analysis. You must include
- Photo of the existing furniture
- Explain the PLUS points
- Explain the MINUS points
- Comment on the INTERESTING elements
- Highlight elements that you may want to adapt or refine
2) IDEAS ANALYSIS
In order to complete this task, you should have completed all your tasks in Week 4.
a) Based on the ideas that you have chosen to develop from your Idea Generation exercise, create another PMI table. (Column 1 should include sketches of your ideas).
b) Rank your ideas
c) Evaluate & discuss your ranking with your team mates
3) SELECTING THE BEST IDEA
a) After completing your Ideas Analysis task, list down the possible improvement, in terms of FUNTIONALITY & AESTHETICS, which can be included in your design.
b) Team leaders to decide on the elements and details for further development and application to your own design.
c) You must relate back to your PROBLEM STATEMENT and the THREE CRITERIAS you have taken into account in Week 4.
d) To help you visualize, create a physical mock-up model of your furniture using any material, clay, cardboard, sticks etc. Take a photo of your mock-up model and document it in your journal.
